In April 2025, in-depth field surveys were conducted in the Moroccan regions of Kenitra and Khemisset as part of the ongoing SUPREM MILK research project. The goal was to collect detailed data from dairy farmers in order to gain a deeper understanding of their farming practices and decision-making processes. The surveys covered a wide range of topics, including animal health, breeding strategies, selection and culling rates, production levels, investments in infrastructure and equipment, herd structure, grazing practices, and feeding strategies, as well as the socioeconomic profiles of the farmers. This body of information provides a solid foundation for characterizing livestock systems and for developing evidence-based policies and development strategies.
